Projet de recherche

Ce projet, mené sous la codirection de Thomas Pierret et Alp Yenen (Université de Leyde), examine les processus de formation de l'État, d'autodétermination nationale et de souveraineté étatique dans le monde musulman à travers une étude comparative d'États éphémères ou de proto-États ayant existé entre 1900 et 1940. En prenant au sérieux ces projets politiques « avortés » et largement oubliés, cette recherche propose une perspective critique et inédite sur la formation de l'État, l'autodétermination et la souveraineté.
